Indie Advent Countdown to Christmas

Scamp positive gifts for kids

As if you needed any other reason to shop small than knowing you can get some of the finest and most original products around from businesses that size - we gathered together a number of our indie business friends, supporters and cheerleaders and asked them to tell you why it makes such a difference when you support makers, designers and craftspeople like us!

Choosing to support an independent business is acknowledging the challenges which come alongside starting your own thing 🌟 You’re helping real people 🌟

Yes, it may look to some that we are living the good life - working from home, no boss to tell us what to do but the risks are high. There are still overheads and bills to pay, juggles with work and child care, imposter syndrome to contend with and stress.

You are a jack of all trades - designer, maker, packaging expert, photographer, content generator, copy writer, social media manager and the list still goes on. It most certainly isn't a 9-5 job!

It's not plain sailing doing what you love but it's pretty darn brave to give it a try.

And I write this because I want you all to know and appreciate the effort, thought and care that goes into every single order that you will purchase from a small business including ours.

Reach beyond the big supermarkets and chains this year and support small businesses. Yes we may not be able to compete on price on somethings but you will know for sure that the gift you bought from that company will be over the flipping moon and your product will be made with a big smile.
