We are pretty excited about our second year of exhibiting at the enormous Spirit Of Christmas Fair which starts on Monday 30th October and is on until Sunday 5th November at Olympia in London. This will kick off our Christmas retail period – it’s an early event but as we have been thinking about Christmas from about February it can’t come soon enough! It’s such an exciting time for us to get showcasing our new products and get them in front of customers.
Behind the scenes for the last few weeks we have been thinking about the design of the stand, the logistics of how to get everything there and unpacked and what stock to make and take.
The Spirit of Christmas Fair describes themselves as the home of Christmas. There are 800 independent boutiques and a food hall with the finest artisan producers.
Spirit is a treasure trove of brilliant products waiting for you to uncover the most thoughtful of gifts for family, friends and loved ones. I have got my Christmas shopping list at the ready so I thought I would share it with you.
First up the wonderful Petra Boase who sells a range of very gift able products from childrens wear and homewares to notebooks and planners.
This star bag is on my list.
And then we have Bespoke Verse who has a poetry gift for every member of your family in the form of tea towels, aprons, prints and a variety of stationery.
I love these pen pots.
Onto one of my favourite Spirit exhibitors, Lala and Bea, who I spent lots of money with last year and shall be visiting again!
Lala and Bea, who we have interviewed before in our Wee Bit of Wonderful feature, is a lifestyle brand designing quality children's gifts and accessories, such as bobble hats, organic family skincare and organic cotton loungewear.
These gorgeous woodland pyjamas are on my shopping list.
Tom Lane sell beautiful woollen products including blankets, socks and accessories such as tote bags and belts. Was our lovely Spirit neighbour last year and those socks flew off the shelves. I am going to bag myself a pair of these before they disappear
There are a couple of little babas on the present list this year and I know I may be a little biased but I do love our I promise I've been good baby grow.
Another company I will be sure to pop by is Lollipop Designs who produce design-led stationery, calendars, year planners, origami notepaper, platters and homeware.
How cool are these winter notelets. Perfect little stocking gift and makes writing your thank you letters after Christmas a lot more fun too!
And for all my 4 legged loving friends I will be visiting Bottle Green Home who have created a fun series of doggy related gifts. This one is top of my list for my bestie HRH Queen Elizabeth II
What is it about Christmas and winter woolies. Another stand I have on my shopping list is Catherine Tough. Totally love her hot water bottle covers and cushions. How cute is this polar bear cushion.
If you need to buy for a tween or teenager, Scamp has the perfect idea for you. A super cosy and comfortable sweatshirt with a bright positive message across the front of it is just the ticket for this tricky to buy for age. Perfect for your kid and all the nieces and nephews!
There are always foodies to buy for at Christmas so don't miss out on the brilliant artisan food stores upstairs at Spirit in the Food Court.
One of our faves is Cheeky Food Co. Cheeky Food Co sell some delicious cheeky chutneys and pickles such as the Mighty Mango chutney. How about getting a hamper of lovely cheese and crackers that would go really nicely with this.
So in between selling at our stand you know what I will be doing! I will be trawling the shop floor, as it were, looking for other things to tick off my Christmas list. This year it is my mission to be 100% organised before Christmas Eve!
