Weekends when I was a lass were often started off on either Saturday or Sunday morning with pancakes.  And none of your skinny crepes, no, no, no ... they were the full american fat pancakes courtesy of my folks time in Canada.  Fat pancake, maple syrup, bacon and an egg if it was a super special day.  Commonly known by my dad as heart attack on a plate.  But, a mighty fine tasting one.  Nowadays, I do make the very same pancakes but tend to opt out of the full lard quotient.  Maple syrup and bacon is me pushing it to the limit!  Jonah was on hand on Saturday to help with that weekends pancake production line
