I very rarely go on the tube these days but today was one of those days I did. It made me realise how much information I'm not privy to any more about what is going on in London - how many films I'm no longer aware of or plays that I really should go to see (but invariably don't) and feeling the hustle of London life. I do much prefer walking or buses but getting that feeling of being in the heart of the city is a good feeling too (if only on occasions). Having not travelled by tube for a while I hadn't ever spotted Michael Landy's Acts of Kindness on before. He produced a series of art works that are exhibited on the central line in stations and on the trains which I think are rather touching. Particularly this shot where they've gone as far as producing it on fabric and integrated it into the seats. Brightened up what might have been a rather uninspiring tube journey.
