Ava has recently started asking about Graffiti. I've told her that lots of it is not of particularly high artistic merit (okay, not in those words) and has been put on the walls by 'naughty people' but there are other forms that I reckon are okay - hello Mr Banksy. An Easter Holiday day in our local park proved that there might be other exceptions to this rule ... I brought along some pavement chalk and Ava started to draw/graffiti on the slabs, drawing in the crowds of other little ones at the same time ... the pavement started to fill and the space looked a brighter & better place. My favourite of the day was this slightly wonkily drawn and written hop scotch.
