Snowy, icy barging 36/366 Picture a Day 2012

Some days I struggle to think of what to take a picture of but today was a day of so many photos I didn't quite know what one to choose.  As all London dwellers would have know today was a day of SNOW.  Ava spotted it starting last night and neither child could believe their eyes when we woke up at the amount of snow around.  Bearing in mind the last time we sledged was in my not very big home town in Scotland and we were the only ones there I knew I needed to psyche myself up for a far more busy London version.  Primrose Hill was awash with folks even at the early Sunday hour of 8:30.   Over two hours of sledging and snowman making then home to warm our hands on hot chocolate by 11.  This afternoon the pace changed somewhat and we headed slightly westward to Little Venice and the Puppet Barge company to see their latest show - the Flight of Babushka Baboon.  Today's picture was taken from pretty much water level inside the barge and amazingly, just as I was about to take the shot, the moor hen swam by through the icy canal.  Brrrr
