Well, we had a very busy but absolutely brilliant time in Edinburgh at The Fringe 2011. The highlight for the mini girls was definitely Hairy MacLary (of Donaldson Dairy fame) featuring many of the characters from the books like Hercules Morse, as big as a Horse , Bottomley Potts, covered in spots – Schnitzel von Krumm, with the very low tum and Scarface Claw – the toughest tomcat in town. Each character had their own little action and there was lots of clapping and stamping of feet. Even Mia (only 2 and 4 months) got right into it. The show featured several of our favourite Hairy Maclary stories, and I would say this is a must for the whole family. 10 out of 10 says Poppy!!
Not only did we manage to see a few shows, we also got to do some baking with Aunty Emma (a domestic goddess in my opinion)
and we did some wandering too (well, I didn't do a lot given my current very large and pregnant status) but we did get down to the Royal Mile, the Grassmarket and my favourite craft event ever at the west end.
Once again, Edinburgh did not fail to live up to my expectations and once again, I banged on about how much I would love to move back there!!!
