Although not yet 3 Jonah had his 'Rocket Boy' birthday party last week - those school holidays don't half get in the way of you being able to have a party when it's your real birthday!
Jonah has been loving stump rockets (you'll see a picture below if this doesn't make sense) and I thought it would be fun to have a party themed around his beloved rocket. A couple of weeks of prepping (well, googling stuff on the internet and a bit of Blue Peter making) and the Rocket Party was all set for blast off (groannnnn ...)
It was a glorious day for the party so Regent's Park beckoned - thank goodness as would have struggled to fit the partygoers into my house!). Party games started with a rocket boy jet pack (made with small water bottles, multicoloured tape and plastic cups!) treasure hunt, a pin the tail on the donkey rocket themed game - pin Jonah the spacemen onto his rocket, and the bests game of all - whose rocket can blast off the highest - hours of fun!
Party food included rocket shaped kebabs - one with sausages, cheese and tomato, the other with grapes and half tangerines!
All rocket boys and girls seemed to have run out of space fuel by the end of the afternoon so I guess they had lots of fun
