The cobbler's children...

... are often the worst shod (or some such saying) and that is often the way I feel about sewing things for my kids.  I make so much for others that often I don't get time to try out a new pattern for them.  So, with this resolve I embarked on making a couple of summer items of clothing - one for each of them - from Emma Hardy's Making Children's Clothes book.  And, got to say, quite please with the results.  Master P's shorts are a tad on the long side (more short trousers than long shorts currently!) but he'll grow in to them, and the tip fits Miss P a treat.  Don't you just love the Kokka fabrics used on both of them?
