In case it's not been evident in the past my whole family are very keen on making things - big, small, baked, sewn, on paper - whatever, wherever.  This gene has now definitely been handed down to my five year old daughter so for the third consecutive year she has had a Christmas Crafty Party for her birthday.  Given she was born on 12th December it is likely that her birthday will continue with this Christmassy theme for many years to come.  This years activities included making a Reindeer out of a small terracotta plant pot, some foam, googly eyes and sparkly pom poms and a star for the tree from the sparkliest silver pipe cleaners and shimmery beads & bells.  LOVED by all the kids.

Despite my nervousness about handling a party of 12 (the highest number I normally deal with is about 5!) it seemed to go well and the snowy themed games - particularly the 'snowball and spoon' race (think egg and spoon but substitute a polystyrene white 'snow' ball and add in a hat and scarf) and the kids had a great time.  I, meanwhile, raced home after clearing up to drink the largest possible glass of white wine possible!
